Engagement session are a great way to get to know each other before the wedding. One of the most important aspects of good wedding photography is establishing a rapport with the couple, so that on the big day everyone is comfortable with each other, and the photos will turn out that much more natural.

For those who love a country themed photoshoot, this one is for you. We were fortunate enough to have access to a private ranch, and during golden hour! it doesn't get better than this.

The light was perfect, the setting was magical, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The old barn provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic photo.

There was an old barn where hay was stored, it was an obvious location for a spectacular photo. To achieve the look of rays of sunshine, we made dust in the air by tossing hay into the air, and then quickly getting into position to make the shot. It was a lot of fun, and couple were delighted with the result.

The sun was setting, and we were getting to the end of the photoshoot. I wanted to utilize the soft light and the natural colours of the environment. To make sure the faces of the couple were well lit ( as it was getting rather dark), I used a off-camera-flash to the couple's right with CTO gel, that way the light from the flash perfectly balances with the light of the sun to create a natural and soft look. Perfect ending to the perfect day.
